The Book of Ephesians was preparing the early church for the work of creating a whole new world that represented the Kingdom of God. As we leave our self-imposed hibernation due to the pandemic and returning to in-person gatherings as a church community, we need to refamiliarize ourselves with our God-given purpose that is greater than our own individual salvation.

Our mission at CLC is to make disciples who Love God, Love People, and Serve the World. Sounds good but how do we know we are doing it right?

Here are 3 ways to help us measure success, with help from insights in Ephesians:

      1. We love God for God to be seen (Ephesians 3:14-19), application Spiritual Disciplines,

      2. We love people for people to feel loved (Ephesians 5:21), application emotionally healthy relationships, and lastly

     3. We serve the world for lives to be changed into the likeness of Jesus Christ (Ephesians 4:11-16), application Spiritual Gifts.

Big Idea: Let us together love God for God to be seen, love people for people to feel loved, and serve the world for lives to be changed.
