Matt 6:12 version differences
Forgive us our sins as we forgive those who sin against us.
Forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors.
Forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us.
Points
1. Forgiveness is a conscious decision to release feelings of resentment and vengeance towards someone who has harmed you.
2. Practicing forgiveness promotes emotional healing and enhances psychological well-being by reducing stress and negative emotions.
3. Forgiveness is a process that may require time and reflection, and it does not mean forgetting or condoning the offense.
It is also not reconciliation, though forgiveness is required for reconciliation.
