Food is a tangible way to love people. Even Jesus, early in his ministry, fed the 5000.

In this John 21 passage, Jesus showed his love for his disciples, providing a fire, food, and fellowship (like here at the church picnic).

Even though Peter had denied him 3 times when Jesus was arrested, Jesus still loved Peter, serving him breakfast (hospitality). Jesus reminded Peter of his first calling to be a fisher of men, and restored him.

Our challenge: Do you love Jesus? Then do as Jesus did, and ask others, "Have you eaten yet?" 1 John 4:19: "We love because He loved us first ."
