Mission is not primarily a human idea—it is the overflow of God’s own heart. From Genesis to Revelation, we see a God who pursues, restores, and redeems. The calling to missions begins when we align ourselves with what God is already doing in the world. God’s promise to Abraham was never just about one nation, but that “all nations would be blessed through him.” That means mission is not an optional program of the church; it is the very essence of God’s redemptive plan.

Calling, then, is not about geographic relocation first—it is about spiritual alignment. Before God sends us out, He calls us in—to know Him, to carry His compassion, and to reflect His glory. The deeper we grasp God’s heart for the lost, the more natural missions become, not as an obligation, but as a response of love. You don’t have to manufacture passion for missions when you truly encounter the heart of God—you simply participate in it.
