The gospel of Christ, working in tandem with the Holy Spirit, changes everything about our lives and how we see others. There's a saying, "Don't judge a book by its cover," meaning you cannot have an opinion of someone merely by just looking at them.

The Apostle Paul wrote in Ephesians telling of a whole new world, where differences, including race, should not separate people anymore, especially in the church. God's grace through Jesus Christ reconciled the racial divide between Jews and Gentiles. From Ephesians 2:11-15,

1. Jesus is by his blood the circumcision for the uncircumcised (v.11-13),

2. Jesus abolishes the law that excluded the "unclean" (v.15),

3. Jesus is our peace (eirene, shalom) that brings wholeness to the world (v.14,15).

Main idea: God's grace through Jesus brings wholeness once again to God's creation broken apart by sin, including racial division reconciled by the blood of Jesus.

Application: start with proximity and learn through relationships with diverse people from yourself.
