Mission work isn’t just for a select few - it’s the calling of the whole church. Every believer has a role, whether by going, giving, praying, or serving locally and globally. The Great Commission was given to all of us, and when the whole body of Christ commits, we can reflect God’s heart for the lost world!
In our walk with Christ, we often encounter the Truth that life is a series of choices and consequences. And Scripture reminds us that we will reap what we sow. So, the proposal for this year’s mission series is to encourage (remind) and educate our congregation to plant a seed of kindness in all aspects of life
We’re honored to welcome Magdalene Chikanya as a missionary partner at Christian Layman Church. Magdalene serves as the Child Protection Coordinator at Freely in Hope, serving vulnerable communities in Zambia. Through her ministry, she equips church leaders, mentors young women, and helps break cycles of violence and exploitation. Her vision aligns deeply with Luke 4:18–19—bringing good news to the poor and freedom to the oppressed.
Magdalene’s personal story of healing from abuse has fueled her calling to proclaim Christ’s freedom and restoration. As the founder of Super Girls Revolution, she is empowering over 200 girls across Zambia to grow in faith, prevent abuse, and become leaders in their communities. Magdalene also trains pastors and children’s ministry leaders to make churches a sanctuary of safety and healing. Watch her full testimony here: https://youtu.be/J71dUjG61gU
